The requirement for formal university pedagogy education is approved by

• university pedagogy education at USN, equivalent to 200 hours/10 ECTS credits.*

• university and college pedagogical education of equivalent level, content, and scope from other Norwegian or foreign universities/colleges.

This means formal education that

• is in accordance with UHR’s national guiding guidelines.

• is based on and includes research literature on teaching, learning and assessment in higher education, where key objectives are to strengthen the individual’s basis for choosing, justifying and further developing their approach to teaching and learning, contribute to pedagogical innovation, and to systematic and collegial further development of teaching, courses and programmes.

*The following USN educations are recognised as approved formal university pedagogy education according to regulatory requirements:

• • UHULV – Teaching, learning and assessment in higher education (10 ECTS)

  • UHUDT – Education in a digital age (10 ECTS)

  • UH-GLU – Learning and teaching in digital environments (10 ECTS)

  • UHKOMUT (10 ECTS)

• Documentation of courses in university and college pedagogy equivalent to 100 hours completed before 01.07.2019.

• Documentation of previous approval of basic university pedagogy competence.
