Zoom question
  1. I want to add my colleagues as Alternative Zoom Hosts in Canvas, but their names do not appear. What should I do?
    • We have contacted Zoom in order to fix this problem. There are two temporary solutions:
      • Recommended. Create/Edit your meeting in the web portal. Here the names will appear correctly.
      • Ask your colleagues what their Feide IDs are. You can then find them using the Feide IDs on Zoom in Canvas.
         
  2. When I open Zoom in Canvas I get an error message. What should I do?
  3. Can I share PowerPoint in a way that allows me to read my notes while the meeting participants can only see the slide presentation?
  4. Can Host view participants’ videos without other participants being able to see each other?
  5. Can I set up two Zoom meetings and run them at the same time?
    • Yes, you can run a maximum of two meetings, but this is not recommended. Should you wish to do this, remember to select an ‘Alternative Host’ for one of the meetings.
       
  6. Can I set up two Zoom webinars and run them at the same time?
    • No, this is not possible. 
       

  7. How many people can join a Zoom meeting?

    • Standard Zoom Meeting: 300. All USN employees and students have this licence.

    • Large Zoom Meeting: 500. Do you need this licence? If so, contact edu@usn.no.

    • Zoom Webinar: 1000. Do you need this licence? If so, contact edu@usn.no.
